The first browser of adult content for iOS becomes live and Apple is already experiencing it

This week saw the launch of the first “porn app approved by Apple” in the world, now accessible on Altstore Pal, a third -party App Store in Europe, thanks to the Digital Markets Act.

Cupertino rejected that description, stating that the company “does not approve of this app” and has criticized the EU DMA for having expressed Europeans to “unpleasant services such as pornography, illegal drugs” and other content prohibited at the App Store.

An Euronews and Associated Press report has highlighted that Apple has yet to certify the apps for its operating system, regardless of whether they are available only on the third -party App Stores. However, Apple clarified that this certification does not imply that no apps are “approved”.

The European Union has forced the company to expand its services to increase competition, allowing users to download third -party App Store. One of these shops, Altstore, receives support from Epic, a game company that has spent years contesting the distribution practices of Apple apps.

Apple underlined in a declaration that the European Commission is allowing market operators such as Altstore and Epic to distribute content that may not share Apple’s concerns for safety.

Altstore replied by saying that American society “continues to use security as a pretext to protect their monopolistic power” and escape respect for the DMA.
