OnePlus Watch 3 is missing an important feature in the United States and Canada

Previously today OnePlus made the official watch 3 without a lot of fanfare. It is based on the apparent success of OnePlus Watch 2 and OnePlus Watch 2R with an even bigger battery that should last up to five days for normal use and even up to three days with intensive use.

There is also support for the readings of the ECG, but there is a problem with this function. That is to say, it will not be available in the United States and in Canada because OnePlus has not received the official certification from the FDA for the ECG capabilities of the clock 3.

Therefore, the ECG analyzer function will not be available in those countries. You will still have a version of the new 60 second health check-in function in the United States and Canada, which will not include ECG readings, starting from a certain point in the second quarter of this year (so between April and June).

This comes directly from OnePlus, who issued a declaration on the 9to5google issue. It is obviously a pity that the ECG function will not work everywhere, but at least the company has come forward revealing the limits on the first day of pre -orders, so you can make an informed purchase decision on the new wearable.

By the way, OnePlus Watch 3 is now pre-order for $ 329 / € 349 / £ 319. The expedition will begin on February 25 in some countries and at the beginning of March in others. Also note that your local OnePlus website could have an additional discount from the RRP if pre -orders.
